Charged when an order matches immediately. C = contracts, P = price in dollars, rounded UP to the next cent. Peaks at 50¢ (1.75¢/contract, rounds to 2¢) and shrinks toward the extremes.

Maker: fee = round up(0.0175 × C × P × (1 − P))

Only on DESIGNATED maker-fee series (see kalshi.com/fee-schedule for the list), charged when a resting order later executes. Most markets have NO maker fee. Canceling a resting order is always free.

S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 series use a halved taker coefficient (0.035). No settlement fee, no membership fee.
